Notice of Public Hearing

 A public hearing will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday August 15, 2024, at the New Madrid County Library, Portageville, Missouri, at which time citizens may be heard on the property tax proposed to be set by the New Madrid County Library District, a political subdivision.  The tax rate shall be set to produce the revenues which the budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2024, shows to be required property tax.  Each tax rate is determined by current assessed valuation.  The result is multiplied by 100 so the rate will be expressed in cents per $100.
